In 2006, six local government partners in Washington County pooled their funding to hire a shared watershed educator. Over the years, the East Metro Water Resource Education Program (EMWREP) has grown to serve 29 member communities and has proven itself to be a statewide leader in water education.
EMWREP has helped to propel numerous large-scale initiatives, including Blue Thumb - Planting for Clean Water, Adopt-a-Drain, Minnesota Water Stewards, the MS4 Stormwater Education Toolkit, and St. Croix Workshop on the Water. Our education programs have also inspired thousands of people to complete water protection and habitat restoration projects on their land.
Join us on Sept. 29 to raise a glass and celebrate this milestone!
