Master Water Stewards Info Session - Stillwater

  • Stillwater Public Library - Margaret Rivers Room B 224 3rd St N. Stillwater, MN 55082 United States (map)

Learn more about the new Master Water Stewards program and decide if it's a good fit for you.

This October we will begin training our first cohort of 10 citizen stewards to work with local watershed organizations.

Master Water Stewards receive 50 hours of training, through a combination of on-line instruction, in-person small-group meetings, and hands-on, outdoor activities. Topics include basic hydrology and stormwater management, water policy, strategies for engaging friends and neighbors, and landscaping practices to reduce runoff pollution. Stewards also complete
capstone projects in their communities – raingardens, shoreline plantings, and rural lands projects.

After becoming certified, Master Water Stewards provide 25 hours per year of volunteer support to their watershed organizations.

Interested volunteers can apply on-line at: https://masterwaterstewards.org/.
