The Belwin Conservancy will release a herd of about 40 bison at our restored prairie in Afton, Minnesota. Please come and help us celebrate as we welcome the bison back to Belwin for the eighth year!
The release will occur at noon sharp, but come starting at 11 a.m for family-friendly activities and to learn about bison and the prairie. Food trucks will be on hand to sell food at the event.
Parking is available at the Lucy Winton Bell Athletic Fields located at 15601 Hudson Road, West Lakeland, Minnesota. Guests can enjoy a short walk through the prairie to the bison release site or hop aboard a free tractor ride. Limited parking nearer the release site on Division Street is available for those who require special access.
Cost: This event and parking are free and open to the public.

Activities begin at 11 a.m. and the arrival of the bison is scheduled for 12 noon.
The Bison release will occur at the Belwin Conservancy's bison observation area located on Division Street in Afton, Minnesota. This location is very near the 94 bridge.
All parking for the release will be at the Lucy Winton Bell Athletic Fields, located at 15601 Hudson Road in West Lakeland, Minnesota. Hudson Road is the south frontage road for Interstate 94 and the athletic fields are located between Stagecoach Trail and Saint Croix Trail.
