Attendees will receive 4.0 hours of real estate or appraiser continuing education, approved by the Minnesota Department of Commerce.

This course is a four-hour journey into the world of septic systems, along with some additional information on water resource issues. The course will help realtors and appraisers better understand onsite sewage treatment and pre-pare them to handle many questions from home buyers and sellers. Presenters from Uni-versity of Minnesota and Washington County will cover:
 Onsite sewage treatment basics
 Regulatory overview
 Non-compliant systems
 Disclosure and compliance inspections
 Local issues relating to septic systems and property transfer
 Additional information on wells and groundwater
