Stillwater

Landfall Stillwater is part of three watersheds - Brown's Creek in the west and north, Carnelian-Marine-St. Croix in the far northwest corner, and Middle St. Croix in the east and south.

In 2011, Stillwater residents purchased 14 rain barrels and planted 2952 trees with help from the WCD. In addition, EMWREP partners provided cost-share funding for 23 Blue Thumb - Planting for Clean Water projects in the city, including a large project at Community Thread. Additionally, Middle St. Croix WMO worked with homeowners to install 23 raingardens near Lily Lake and several near Lake McKusick.

Both Middle St. Croix and Brown's Creek have grants available for raingardens, shoreline plantings and other projects that reduce runoff pollution. Contact Amy Carolan (Middle St. Croix) or Rusty Schmidt (Brown's Creek) to schedule a free site visit at your home.
