Rice Creek Watershed District

The Rice Creek Watershed District (RCWD) encompasses approximately 186 square miles of Anoka, Hennepin, Ramsey, and Washington Counties in Minnesota. The purpose of the RCWD is to conserve and restore the water resources of the District for the beneficial use of current and future generations.

Planting for Clean Water

The RCWD has cost-share grants to help landowners install raingardens, stabilizing erosion problems along shorelines, restore degraded wetlands, install agricultural BMPs and, in some cases, install pervious pavers. RCWD may provide funding up to 50% of total project costs up to a maximum of $5,000.

Funding priority in Washington County will be given to people with direct drainage to White Bear Lake, Bald Eagle Lake and Clear Lake.
