Lake Elmo

The majority of Lake Elmo is in the Valley Branch Watershed District, with small portions in the northeast and southwest in the Brown's Creek and South Washington Watershed Districts.

Planting for Clean Water

In 2010, Lake Elmo residents purchased 40 rain barrels and planted 1276 trees with help from the WCD. The city is currently working with local residents to install raingardens during street improvement projects within Lake Elmo. In addition, seven projects were initiated in 2011 with cost-share funding from the Valley Branch Watershed District.
